
Nathalie Deana, Set Designer
​
Born in Udine, Italy, Nathalie Deana debuted as set designer at the Teatro Sociale in Como As.Li.Co in the opera Il Vascello Incantato taken from Der Fliegende Holländer by R. Wagner. Ms. Deana was ranked second in the OperaJ 09 competition published by As.li.Co, L'Opéra Royal de Wallonie di Liège and Teatro Real in Madrid for the set design for the opera Lupus in fabula by R. sergenti.

Since 2011 Ms. Deana works as an assistant set designer for the opera stage director Davide Livermore. She was also a set designer in Palcoscenico, un remake inspired by the film Stage Door by Gregory La Cava and Calvario anarchico, Le ultime parole di Sacco e Vanzetti and DragPennyOpera which was freely inspired by The beggar’r Opera by John Gay, a zarzuela La Malquerida by M. Penella at the Teatro del Canal in Madrid, and Il dittico di Gian Carlo menotti, the telephone or l’amour à trois & The Medium at the Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti in Modena.

From 2018 Ms. Deana works as an assistant set designer of M° Hugo de Ana and will involve in the two new productions of his: La bohème by G. Puccini and Un Ballo in Maschera by G. Verdi at Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari.

Nathalie Deana received her Master's Degree in "Theatre Sciences and Techniques" at IUAV University in Venice with speaker Davide Livermore in 2009.
