iSING! Announces 2025
Festival Residency and China Tour
Echoes of Ancient Tang Poems
November 26 – December 15, 2025
Ancient poetry, modern voices, and music that crosses borders—this December, iSING! returns to China with a groundbreaking tour in Guiyang and Chengdu, featuring world-class conductors and international singers.
In collaboration with acclaimed conductors Yang Yang (Guiyang Symphony Orchestra) and Chen Lin (Chengdu Symphony Orchestra), the Festival continues to showcase its groundbreaking program, Echoes of Ancient Tang Poems.
This year, sixteen singers from the United States, Italy, Hungary, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, and China will join the residency. In addition, six outstanding young Chinese singers, selected through the 2025 iSING! Festival auditions. The performers in training will receive full scholarships and perform leading roles on tour.

Adding to the excitement, iSING! continues its long-time partnership with SKP Group, presenting an Opera Gala in Chengdu that will showcase beloved arias from both Chinese and Western opera traditions
Past Performance Highlights
WORLD PREMIERE
Spring River Flowers by Moonlight 《春光花月夜》 Commissioned by The Philadelphia Orchestra and composed by Mason Bates, a new Tang poem composition premiered on November 2, 2024 during the Orchestra’s China Tour under Maestro Marin Alsop at Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts. The work was paired with selections from Echoes of Ancient Tang Poems, sung in Mandarin by our iSING! artists.
NORTH AMERICAN PREMIERE
Spring River Flowers by Moonlight
《春光花月夜》The piece had its North American debut on January 10, 2025, conducted by Naomi Woo at Philadelphia’s Marian Anderson Hall.

Asia Tour
Echoes of Ancient Tang Poems Tour (Macau, Wuhan)
Eighteen iSINGers from nine countries nations performed Echoes of Ancient Tang Poems with the Macau Orchestra and Hubei Symphony Orchestra after a residency at Tianjin Juilliard.
